The Challenge

Palace Cinemas approached us for a kiosk solution to facilitate self service customer ticket sales in their cinemas across Australia. There were existing solutions that some of their large competitors were using but Palace are a boutique cinema chain and wanted a more bespoke solution.

It was not only hardware that Palace were looking for but also a software solution which included checking session times, movie reviews, multiple cinemas within one complex, and of course payment and printing of the tickets, plus a loyalty program for Palace Cinema card holders.

The Solution

We took our stylish and functional Diamond 22 kiosk and with some clever custom metal work added a ticket and receipt printer, a 2D barcode scanner for loyalty cards and promotional QR codes, and a rugged payment terminal for unattended applications. We also helped investigate software partners to provide the complete package for our client.
